Adding a Calculation Question to a Moodle Quiz

1) As with writing any other question for the quiz the first step is to give your question a title.

2) Next write your question in the next box

3) Set the value of the question (the number of points a student can receive if they answer correctly)

3) Below this you will see a box labeled penalty factor; this will determine how many points or partial points a student can receive for an incorrect or partially incorrect answer.

4) Type the correct answer

5) Next set a tolerance level (how close must a student answer come to the correct one to receive full points.)

6) You can add Feedback if you wish, or you may add another possible answer.

7) Lastly you can add the unit the answer will be using in the box provided.

8) Save this question and you should now be able to add it to your quiz.
